You should have received your refund or will receive it shortly if filed within the last 30 business days. NOTICE - MARCH 27, 2020
All ticket holders should have received an email from U.S. Figure Skating to the email address provided at payment outlining the following ticket return policy. If you did not receive this email and believe you should have, contact with your order information and a representative will respond within 48 business hours. 


As a result of a United States travel ban of 26 European countries and the state of New York’s restrictions on gatherings over concerns of the spread of the COVID-19 virus, U.S. Figure Skating and the International Skating Union (ISU) are unable to organize the ISU World Synchronized Skating Championships ® 2020. U.S. Figure Skating has begun issuing refunds to the credit card used for purchase. If we are unable to refund the original credit card, U.S. Figure Skating will reach out to you with next steps. A summary of your pending refund was provided in the initial email. The refund policy is below for your reference. 


  • Refunds will begin processing the week of March 30. You will receive an email confirming when your refund has been processed.
  • If multiple transactions/orders were placed, a separate refund will be completed for each order.
  • Only the person who made the original transaction is eligible to receive the refund.
  • If U.S. Figure Skating is unable to issue a refund directly to the card used at the time of purchase, a representative will contact you via this email address with additional steps.
  • Any questions or concerns regarding the refund summary below must be submitted in writing to Please allow up to 48 hours for response.

Ticket holders, thank you for your patience as we continue to work through these extraordinary times. Since the event was cancelled on Friday, March 13, U.S. Figure Skating and the LOC in Lake Placid have been working together to formalize the ticket refund process. As such we will be emailing all Group Ticket contacts the week of March 23-27 with information on refund process/timeline.

Any fan who has purchased tickets will receive a refund. In the coming days, U.S. Figure Skating will work with each group impacted by this cancelation, including contacting each “Group Ticket Contact” regarding all-event ticket refunds purchased via the event website.   • All tickets will be seated at the discretion of the organizing committee based on ticket type.    Requests by seating with a group are no longer available. 

  • The organizing committee will make their best effort to seat all tickets purchased on the same order form consecutively as space allows.

  • For tickets purchased on or after February 1, 2020, seating assignments will be provided to the email address of the primary contact for the ticket order within 10 days of your purchase.

  • For tickets purchased before February 1, 2020, seating assignments were provided to the email address of the primary contact for the ticket order by February 1, 2020.   If you did not receive your email notification, please email with your ticket order reference number. 

  • All tickets will be available for pick up at the Olympic Center under the name of the primary contact (with valid ID) starting Wednesday, April 1.   Pick up hours will be posted to the event website closer to the competition.

  • No refunds will be issued for any ticket order. All sales are final.


To purchase tickets as a group:

  • Synchronized skating teams, clubs, and organizations can create a group name and pass it on to anyone they want to sit with at the championships.

  • To purchase an all event ticket and sit with your group, type the group name in the form when requested. Everyone who types in the same group name will be seated together.

  • The deadline to place an order with a group is Dec. 1, 2019. Any tickets purchased after Dec. 1 will be placed at the discretion of the Organizing Committee.


All-Event Tickets

  • Admission to both the Short Program (Apr. 3) and Free Skate (Apr.4)

  • Access to all official practices (Thursday - Saturday)

  • A souvenir credential that serves as your event ticket

  • Electronic newsletters & updates leading up to the event.

All tickets are subject to a $10 Admin Fee.

  • Friday, April 3 – Short Program Competition

  • Saturday, April 4 – Free Skate Competition & Victory Ceremony
